Clearfield Salvation Army starting 'Lunch & Literacy' program

CLEARFIELD - The Salvation Army in Clearfield is working to make sure kids have full stomachs and sharp brains this summer. The new mobile feeding program, "Lunch & Literacy," kicks off June 13th. The program was started by Helen Johnson, captain of the Salvation Army in Clearfield. She and her husband come from Rhode Island, where they started and ran the program for five years. Four boys hurt in roof collapse in Rhode Island

NEWPORT, R.I. (WJAR) — Four boys were hurt during a roof collapsed at a former stable at Brenton Point State Park in Newport, according to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, or DEM. Johnstown building now housing game & hobby shop, studio space and wellness center

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A grand opening celebration was held Tuesday for the opening of another Johnstown business. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Bridge and Rising Studio and Lofts, located on Clinton Street. Owner Serena Bridges says the building was completely empty when she bought it several months ago. Now, three businesses occupy the space.
