Man acquitted of all charges in 2019 slaying in park

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A man has been acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of the son of a high-ranking police official during a brawl at a south Philadelphia park three years ago. A Common Pleas Court jury on Wednesday acquitted 22-year-old Tyquan Atkinson of murder, criminal conspiracy and weapons offenses in the March 2019 death of 20-year-old Nicholas Flacco at FDR park. 'They're my brothers:' Altoona youth hockey team preparing to compete for national title

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — After winning a state championship, one local youth hockey team is now looking to become national champions next month. In their first year of being able to compete for a state championship, the Mid-State Mustangs took home gold in Pennsylvania, and now they will go on to compete for a national championship in April. In early March, the Mid-State Mustangs 14U hockey team won the Mid-Am Pennsylvania State Championship in Pittsburgh. Read More...
