PITTSBURGH, PA — Two weeks ago Robert Levin and the parent company of Levin Furniture signed a letter of intent which would have allowed Robert Levin, the former president and owner of the Pittsburgh-based Levin Furniture to buy the business as the business was going through Bankruptcy Court restructuring of the parent company Art Van Furniture, LLC. On Thursday, Levin learned that the parent company decided to close all Levin Furniture and Wolf Furniture stores immediately, to terminate the employees, and not proceed with the terms of the aforementioned agreement. Meta oversight board weighing use of 'from the river to the sea,' seeking community input

WASHINGTON (TND) — An oversight board for social media giant Meta is seeking user input on whether posts with the phrase "from the river to the sea" should be permitted on Facebook, the company told The National Desk (TND) Wednesday. The phrase is considered antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League and was included in the 1988 original governing charter of Hamas, the terrorist group which invaded Israel on Oct. 7. One man dead after vehicle accident in Lycoming County

One man is dead after overturning his vehicle in Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County Sunday afternoon, state police said. According to a press release, Justin Laganowski, 23, was traveling south on State Route 87 when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason. State police said that Laganowski then struck a guard rail before traveling approximately 51 feet over both lanes of travel and exiting the roadway on the left side. Read More...
