Steelers sign Pro Bowl DB Patrick Peterson to 2-year deal

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to multiple NFL sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly signing veteran defensive-back Patrick Peterson to a two-year deal. Peterson, who is an 8-time Pro Bowler, previously played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals. He was selected in the first round (fifth overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Cardinals. Actor Bernard Hill, known for 'Titanic' and 'Lord of the Rings,' dead at 79

LONDON (AP) — Actor Bernard Hill, who delivered a rousing cry before leading his people into battle in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" and went down with the ship as the captain in "Titanic," has died. Hill, 79, passed away Sunday morning, agent Lou Coulson said. Hill joined "The Lord Of The Rings" franchise in the second film of the trilogy, 2002's "The Two Towers," as Théoden, King of Rohan. Pennsylvania will be 1st to get Bloomberg funds

WASHINGTON, Pa. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania will be the first state to receive funding as part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's charity donation of $50 million to help fight the nation's opioid epidemic. Bloomberg Philanthropies will give at least $10 million in funding to Pennsylvania to reduce opioid deaths. Pennsylvania had the highest number of drug overdose deaths in 2017 among all states and twice as many as in 2014. Read More...
