SOMERSET, Pa. (WJAC) — Somerset's annual "Fire and Ice" event began over the weekend, which has been attracting visitors to the Somerset Area for 26 years.
Due to COVID-19 this year, organizers are now calling it a "showcase," limiting some activities to keep people safe.
Regina Coughenour, Executive Director for Somerset Inc., says there's a focus on keeping the activities outdoors this year.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — The 91st annual Ferndale Firemen's Jubilee is underway this week, with the opening ceremony being held Monday evening.
The jubilee will be open every day, until Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Officials add that the kitchen will open an hour earlier, at 5 p.m., every day.
Due to the rise in fuel costs, officials say there will be no parade this year, but still plenty of fun with rides, a weeklong 50/50, games and food. Read More...
