NANTY GLO - Nanty Glo Pool and Park was shut down Wednesday morning after receiving allegations about possible safety issues.
On Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health could be seen inspecting the pool and testing the water.
An initial report hasn’t been released, but Nanty Glo Police said the pool will remained closed until the issues are handled.
“The pool is now closed and will remain closed until some of the issues that were found with the structure and infrastructure of the pool have been addressed,” said Michael Oyaski of Nanty Glo Borough police. Read More...
During Saturday's meeting, the Pennsylvania Game Commission adopted several changes for the upcoming hunting and trapping seasons.
Among the changes is the shortening of the October muzzleloader season for black bear by three days.
The Game Commission also announced a slight increase of antlerless deer licenses available this year, with 1,186,000 licenses being allocated statewide.

UPDATE |Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — State police have identified the suspect in Sunday's officer-involved incident on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Troopers say 19-year-old Cameron Raubaugh reportedly called 911 to report a robbery in the parking lot of the campus' George P. Miller Stadium.
According to the affidavit, when police arrived on scene, the responding officer encountered a masked suspect who was wielding a knife.
Police say the suspect allegedly charged at the officer, resulting in the officer firing one round from his gun. Read More...
