LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Hospitality workers have walked off the job Friday and launched a 48-hour strike against Virgin Hotels Las Vegas after going nearly a year without a new contract.
Virgin Hotels workers with the Culinary and Bartenders unions made good on their announcement of a work stoppage from earlier this week, picketing the casino-resort early Friday morning.

University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State University police say a 20-year-old man is facing charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow student inside a campus dorm room.
According to the affidavit, police say the victim reported that she was assaulted by Kyle Bell, of Havertown, on the night of January 29th, 2023.

ALTOONA, PA. (WJAC) — Norfolk Southern announced the closure of its Roanoke Distribution Center Tuesday and said work and positions will be transferred to the Juniata Locomotive shop in Altoona.
Company officials said the announcement comes as Norfolk Southern continues to reduce its locomotive fleets, thus reducing the amount of locomotive maintenance and repair.
The company could no longer support two heavy-repair locomotive facilities and decided that the most appropriate location for its major locomotive facility would be the shop in Altoona, NBC affiliate WSLS reports. Read More...
