NYC police hunting for man who choked, raped woman near Bronx subway station

NEW YORK CITY (TND) — The New York City Police Department is searching for a man accused of strangling and raping a woman near a Bronx subway station last week. The crime occurred in the early morning hours of May 1 three blocks from the 3 Av-149 St subway station in the South Bronx. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- A Penn State alumna has started a petition after the university "reorganized" the Penn State Outing Club, barring it from partaking in outdoor activities. The petition started by alumna Julie Mastrine has garnered more than 3,600 signatures. "I am a Penn State alumna, and I hiked in the woods countless times when I lived there. There was more than one car on the train tracks just seconds before a train struck a vehicle in Cambria County on Wednesday. Rick Truscello said he was travelling down Eisenhower Boulevard just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon and was just a few cars behind the blue SUV that ended up getting hit by a CSX train. Truscello said there was traffic backed up near the intersection of Krings Street with about a half dozen cars on each side of the train tracks before the collision. Read More...
