CLEARFIELD - A skating event will take place this weekend to help the family of a Clearfield County man who was recently found dead.
The benefit is to help defer costs for the family of Chase Anderson, 19, of Curwensville. It will take place Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Skate Station on South Second Street in Clearfield.

A new candidate announced they are running for a state representative spot in the upcoming election Saturday at an event hosted by the Cambria County Republican Committee.
At the Pancakes and Petitions breakfast at the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship Church, several state representatives and county officials were present.

BEDFORD - Old Bedford Village has gained national attention after sharing on Facebook that six of its historic guns were stolen.
David Petit is the groundskeeper and a blacksmith at the village. He said sometime after midnight Dec. 14, someone broke into multiple historic buildings, including the General Store and the Rifle House.
"We've lost a piece of Bedford County history," Petit said.
Nothing was reported missing from the other buildings -- only the six rifles that were stored in a glass case for display. Read More...
