CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County say a Punxsutawney man has been sentenced to prison time after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl last year. Officials say Hunter Vroman appeared in court this week where he was sentenced to serve 9 months to 5 years in state prison. 'Time is always important:' Cambria Co. receives funding to create new DNA database

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — New crime-solving equipment will soon be coming to Cambria County and investigators are hoping that it will help them solve cases much faster. The county recently receiving more than a half-a-million-dollar federal grant for a DNA database. Officials saying the database will vastly speed up the process of getting DNA matches. In a burglary, for instance, if a window is broken and investigators find blood on the glass, what currently takes months to get a match could now take just 24-48 hours. Read More...

Including the ability to sell mixed drinks to-go. Local bars and restaurants say they were blindsided as many geared up to sell cocktails to-go this summer.
