Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has confirmed to 6 News that a 14-year-old boy was killed in an overnight house fire in Huston Township. 1 dead, 1 seriously injured after Jefferson County motorcycle crash, officials say

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Jefferson County authorities say one person is dead and another seriously injured following a motorcycle crash on Route 36 Monday. According to Jefferson County emergency officials, the crash happened just after noon on the 800 block of Route 36 in Rose Township. Officials say a motorcycle and another vehicle were involved. Jefferson County Coroner Brenda Shumaker says one of the victims died from injuries at a nearby hospital while the other was flown to Altoona. Read More...

Eagle Ironworks at Curtin Village

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — In our latest segment of Road Trippin’, the Eagle Ironworks at Curtin Village stands on the site of an Iron Furnace that was created by Roland Curtin and an associate in 1810. The Eagle Ironworks was one of 20 iron furnaces operating in Centre County during the peak of iron making. The mansion was also home to Roland Curtain’s son, Andrew Curtin, who was the governor of Pennsylvania, during the American Civil War. Read More...
